A team of eight Laguna Beach High School student curators tutored by Laguna Outreach for Community Arts will hold their second juried show at Laguna Nursery, kicking off with a public reception and awards for winning artists on Thursday, May 2, 4-5 p.m.

The “Our Town” portrait exhibition will be displayed through May 17, 1370 S. Coast Highway.

The curatorial team developed the theme and invited artists to submit. The team juried the entries with the help of local artist Pat Sparkhul.

Hanging from the nursery’s ceiling, the display features a wide array of portraits in various styles, from traditional to more abstract approaches.

The junior curator team consists of Grant Barton, Makena Collins, Nicole Doiron, Cory Kent, Anika Larsen, Corinne Penrod, Katie Silva-Grizzle, and Rachel Young.
