High school girls looking for a fun and easy way to give back to their community should consider joining Assisteens, an auxiliary of the Assistance League of Laguna Beach.

Meetings are held monthly at the Assistance League House, 547 Catalina St., and the next meeting will take place Tuesday, Oct. 4, at 7 p.m.

Each activity is developed, coordinated and chaired by Assisteens board members to help girls learn important leadership skills such as planning a project, developing a budget, and organizing a fundraiser. Members are involved with the Turnabout Thrift Shop, the Friendship Shelter, The Susi Q Senior Center, various philanthropic activities and fun social events.

For more information on joining, please contact Lauren Michaels at [email protected].
