This month’s Coffee Break features Emily Diehl, who will discuss the educational implications of mindset and provide practical ways in which parents and educators can encourage an expansive mindset at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 16, at the Aliso Creek Inn and Golf Course.

Diehl’s “Mindset Works” is based on the work of Stanford University psychologist Carol Dweck. In her research on achievement and success, Dweck discovered how the power of optimism or pessimism shapes goals, attitudes toward work and relationships, childrearing and and ultimately predicts whether or not we will fulfill our potential.

A $10 suggested donation is asked at the door.
