The AYSO Extra tournament for Laguna boys under 13 was held Dec. 14 and 15 in La Habra. Laguna won their first game of the tournament against Corona Del Mar with a score of 1-0 thanks to a perfectly placed corner kick by Dylan Miller. In another 1-0 victory against Costa Mesa, Kyle Shaw scored the winning goal.
By Sunday morning the Breakers were in the finals due to a victory over San Clemente, with a first goal scored by Shaw and a second by Charlie Dickerson.
Luke Rogers executed an amazing run against Costa Mesa despite being pushed from behind in the penalty box; he fired a shot that gave Laguna an early lead.
Goal two scored by Dickerson came from stopping a Costa Mesa kick and sent the ball back to the net.
In the second half, goals were scored by Miller, Dickerson and Rusty Hunter.
Four games and four victories due to strong defensive effort by the keeper, Gustav Morck.
