Season Resumes on April 12

Breakers return to league play this coming Tuesday, April 12, when they host Godinez (4-10, 1-4) at Skipper Carrillo Field. Laguna’s quest for the record book on consecutive league wins will be tested at Costa Mesa on Tuesday, April 19, and with Calvary Chapel the following day.

Last week the Breakers concluded a successful tournament run, suffering a 2-0 loss to University (5-8) on Wednesday, March 30, at Windrow Park in Irvine. Laguna was limited to only two hits and University to four, but two key umpire decisions led to the winner’s two runs. Breakers had a chance on Jeff Bruyntjen’s ground-ruled double in the sixth inning, but were unable to score a run.
