Breakers continued to dominate Costa Mesa (1-2, 6-6) winning their 20th straight contest with the Mustangs in a 14-1 rout on Friday, March 24, at Skipper Carrillo Field. Blake Burzell picked up his third win of the year allowing five hits over five innings. Lance Stewart was flawless in relief striking out three. Breaker batters collected 15 hits with Dante Faicchio leading all players driving in four runs on four hits and also scoring four times. Laguna holds the all-time series edge 59-46.

Breakers closed out March this past week hosting Saddleback (1-2, 4-8) on Tuesday and co-leader Estancia on March 30. This weekend the Laguna will be in the Ryan Lemmon tournament at Windrow Park in Irvine opening with long time rival Valencia/Placentia at 12:15. Play will continue next week with games on Monday (facing Irvine or Tustin) , Tuesday, and Wednesday. The scheduled March 22 meeting with Warren (Downey) was rained out and not re-scheduled.
