Realtors Host Tasting Benefit Party

The Laguna Board of Realtors and Affiliates will hold their 17th year annual Taste for Charity to benefit several Laguna Beach nonprofits on Thursday, May 17, in a new location, 4 p.m. at Aliso Creek Inn, 31106 S. Coast Highway.

Admission includes the opportunity to taste some of the finest food from Laguna Beach. Free trolley service from 4-8:30 p.m. will be available from Wesley Drive at Albertson’s underground parking garage.

Gala Underwrites Surgery Unit

The Glass Slipper Guild will host their 18th gala in support of Children’s Hospital Orange County, at Irvine’s Shady Canyon Golf Club, 100 Shady Canyon Dr., May 5.

Proceeds will go directly to CHOC’s surgery department for a post anesthesia unit.

Dog Portraits Aid Pet Rescues

Romero Fine Portraiture is teaming up with Laguna Beach’s Animal Crackers pet store to raise money for their pet rescue efforts.

Photographer Don Romero is offering a portrait special for pets and their owners and a portion of all sales will benefit pet rescue.

Pink Tie Ball Ties One on For Breast Health

Susan G. Komen Orange County’s sixth annual Pink Tie Ball in Laguna Beach raised over $360,000 to fund local breast health programs and research last month.

Komen’s executive director and president, Lisa Wolter and Sue Parks, respectively.

For the first time, the Orange County affiliate honored community member Harald Herrman, chief executive of Yard House Restaurant, for his ongoing support.
