Laguna wrapped up another undefeated league season with a 25-18, 25-12, 25-17 sweep of Godinez this past Tuesday, May 5, at the Grizzly gym. The win was their 68th in a row for league play, an Orange County record and the ninth longest in Southern Section CIF history.

Sophomore Pete Obradovich continued his strong play with 13 kills, .455 hitting percentage and 12 digs. Junior Isaac Wulff had 29 assists and two aces. Tyler Alter added 13 kills on the right side. Cole Paxson with 14 digs and Adam Lythgoe with 10 provided the defense.

Breakers 13th at 45th Redondo Tournament

Laguna suffered three very close losses to finish a disappointing 13th at the Redondo tournament. The losses resulted in Laguna dropping to fourth seed for the upcoming playoffs which really doesn’t matter given the balance top teams this season.

Pete Obradovich had 15 kills and 6 digs as Laguna cruised by the Eagles (7-16, 2-7) at their gym. Barry Greenough hit a season high 11 kills in the middle and Ford Brian added 6 kills. Isaac Wulff dished out 31 assists.

JV-FS @ 5:30 PM, Varsity-Artists at 6:30. All former players are asked to attend, playing or not. Laguna has qualified for post-season play the past 42 years of SSCIF playoffs.

Breakers will host a first round game on Tuesday, May 12 at 7PM. 2014 marks Laguna’s 42nd consecutive trip to the playoffs
