Laguna took care of two Division 2 rivals this past week plus added their 50th straight league victory. On Tuesday, Sept. 27, the Breakers sank 10th-ranked Los Alamitos 12-3 at the local pool. Camden Benson and Colton Gregory each scored three goals while Gordon Pike recorded 11 saves in the victory. The following day, 12 different players scored as Laguna opened league play with a 20-2 win over Saddleback (8-4, 0-1). On Saturday, Oct. 1, Laguna took fourth-ranked Murrieta Valley 10-7 . This week the squad traveled to Costa Mesa on Wednesday, Oct. 5, to battle Costa Mesa, their only serious league opponent and the following day met Dana Hills at the local community pool. The next big challenge will be the North-South tournament in Atherton over the Oct. 14-15 weekend.
