Breakers Fall In So Cal Quarters

Laguna’s run through the ultra-competitive Southern California Regional Tennis Championships ended with a quarterfinal 5-2 loss to Corona del Mar on Friday, Nov. 21 at the Claremont Club in Claremont. Earlier in the week, Laguna traveled to Pacific Palisades and defeated the LACIF champion Dolphins 4-3 on the Palisades courts.

In singles, Summer Dvorak won 6-2, 6-2 and Kira Hamilton also won 6-0, 6-4. Breakers picked up two doubles wins with victories by the team of Bailey Jaeger/Kelly Keller 7-6, 6-4, and Natasha Keces/Malia Helms 6-4, 6-5. The 20-6 team record is the Breaker’s best since the championship season of 2005.
