Buck Naked and the Chapped Cheeks reunite for a mini tour.Members of the Western swing band Buck Naked and the Chapped Cheeks invite all to join them for music, dancing, and lots of laughs at the No Square Theatre, 384 Legion St., Thursday, July 9.

Tickets for the 7:30 p.m. show are $20-$25; for $10 more, enjoy a BBQ dinner with the boys on the lawn.

Guitar Quartet Returns to Museum

The Triada Guitar Quartet will perform at the Laguna Art Museum on Thursday, July 9, from 7-8 p.m. as part of the Live! at the Museum concert series.

Not a Drive-in, But Summer Movies Return

Movie Mondays return to the Segerstrom Center in Costa Mesa for free outdoor screenings.

“Little Shop of Horrors” screens July 13, followed by “Pitch Perfect” July 20, “The Sandlot” July 27, “My Best Friend’s Wedding” Aug. 2 and “E.T.” on Aug. 10.

Set-up begins at 5:30 p.m. with the movie beginning near 8 p.m. Guests may bring portable seating, snacks and picnics. Each Monday will feature a different food truck. For more info: www.scfta.org/moviemondays.

 

Playhouse Kicks Off Summer With ‘Footloose’

“Footloose” is the first musical of the Laguna Playhouse season with performances beginning Wednesday, July 8.

The show at 606 Laguna Canyon Road will run through Sunday, Aug. 9. Tickets range from $41-$66 and can be purchased at www.lagunaplayhouse.com.

 

Sawdust Spotlights Songwriters

The Sawdust Festival’s first Songwriter’s Showcases will feature Tom Kell, Shaun Cromwell and Grace Freeman on Wednesday, July 8.

All ages are welcome to come and listen to songwriters on the eight Wednesdays that they are featured during the festival.

Food and a beer and wine bar will be available as well. Tickets are $8.50.
