Electronic Waste Drive Sees Record Turnout

Nearly 6.8 tons of electronic waste and 5,000 pounds of paper were collected for recycling at Surterre Properties recent Laguna Beach electronic waste drive.
Surterre figures the free quarterly shredding and recycling service saved 44 trees, 107 altogether this year alone.

“This recent event saw over 250 cars come through to drop off waste for recycling – another record turnout. We’re thrilled at how well-received these drives continue to be,” said Paula Ansara-Wilhelm, Surterre’s co-founder and chief marketing officer.

The drive offers an easy way to divert old electronics – from television sets to printers — and paper from landfills. Participants don’t even have to leave their car. There are no forms to complete, and any stored data will be safely and completely eradicated.
