Jeweler Cuts a Natural Niche
Artist Paunta Afshar has opened her first boutique, Ancient Wisdom Jewelry, at 540 S. Coast Highway, which carries her handcrafted line of natural stone and crystal jewelry, home decor and pet accessories.
She invites visitors to learn more about the healing properties of natural stones while enjoying live music and refreshments on Sunday, Dec. 11, between 1 and 6 p.m. Special guest Nick Edwards will be available for questions about his pyramid energy products.
Store hours are noon to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday.

Laguna resident Chell Smith was recognized as one of the women leaders in the consulting industry by Consulting magazine’s fifth annual achievement awards.
Smith was among over 450 nominees considered by Consulting magazine.
New Sommeliers Know Their Pours
Laura Valenzuela, Barbara Cooper and Dawn Bresee passed the certified sommelier exam Thursday, Dec. 1 by the Court of Master Sommeliers, adding three new experts to the Laguna Culinary Arts family.
