The hard-hitting fun of SchoolPower’s wildly popular community event returns to the LBHS gyms on Oct. 17 with Dodgeball III. Tournament registration opens Sept. 17 so round up a team and be part of Laguna’s most entertaining sports event of the year.
In SchoolPower’s spin on the schoolyard classic, champions are named from three divisions: 4 & 5th grades, 6-8th grades, and high school/adult. A prize is also awarded to the most creatively costumed team. To compete, teams must have six to eight members with at least two players of the opposite gender.
Team slots are limited and do sell out so register early and don’t be left out of the action. Registration fees are $15 per student and $40 per adult with free registration going to the first two high school teams to sign up. Spectators are free and encouraged to cheer on competitors as they face off against their friends, neighbors, classmates and coworkers. Gnarly “Q” will be serving a delicious barbecue menu (dinners available by pre-order online).
The event raises funds for Laguna Beach schools through registrations and the support of local business sponsors.
