Cheers for Climate Column

Editor,

I was pleased to read Tom Osborne’s article in last week’s Indy (March 30 edition) regarding global warming and the new group, Climate-Wise Laguna. While most of us in Laguna know how to reduce our carbon footprint and we try to live by that, it is always good to be reminded of conserving water, turning off the lights, getting off the grid etc.

But we can become even more educated and involved, learning about the latest efforts of our local environmental groups and helping advise our Council on how to cope with the new challenges of climate change by advancing the climate protection action plan.

Tom, you are a great ambassador and champion of the environment so please give us more!

  1. “While most of us in Laguna know how to reduce our carbon footprint and we try to live by that…”

Drive to protests everywhere, invite tourists by the millions to Laguna to taste wine, cheese, ooh and aah at dreck you call “art,” lie in the sand and expose your skin to carcinoma-causing sunlight, drive to Pageant of the Masters by the tens of thousands, drive to Sawdust Festival by the scores of thousands…

Yes, you certainly do know how to TALK about “reducing your carbon footprint,” while all of you practice exactly the opposite. Ecohypocrisy is the fun new game played by holier-than-everybody-else Leftists.
