The congregation of Laguna Beach United Methodist Church recently voted to affiliate with the Reconciling Ministries Network and declared its intention to welcome all in the LGBTQIA community. The church is now open for weddings of same-sex couples. “These actions are necessary because people are looking to us to make a strong stand. People are watching for the church to model grace, rather than judgment,” said LBUMC’s pastor, Rev. Mandy Sloan McDow.
