Ticket Sales Begin for Girls Night Out Benefit

Tickets are on sale for a night of pampering, noshing and silent auction shopping during the fifth annual Girls Night Out benefit for the Boys and Girls Club.  Tickets are $150 each for the event on the grounds of Wilson’s spectacular oceanfront family home Thursday, Sept. 26.

Freedom to Dunk a Cop (What a Country!)

The Laguna Police Employees Association are ready to get soaked for a cause, fundraising for the Boys & Girls Club at Main Beach’s cobblestones Saturday, July 6, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Radio station KX 93.5 will provide the play by play for entertainment, if soaking Laguna’s finest doesn’t put a smile on your face!

Assistance League received kudos at Shea Center’s annual meeting for its support and maintenance of the therapeutic riding horse Bliss, and for the scholarships it gives to children from the R. H. Dana School for Exceptional Needs Students.

Scholarships are for therapeutic horse-related programs, which improve the lives of children with physical and cognitive disabilities.

 

Treasure Hunt Inspires Spiritual Insights

Laguna Beach’s United Methodist church invites the public to join its congregation for Messy Church, Sunday, July 7, from 5-7 p.m., when worshipers will take to the beach to follow the biblical dictum, “For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”

Light dinner provided. Activities for all ages are designed to inspire spiritual growth through universal truths. Bring the entire family, friends and neighbors, you never know what you might discover!

Gross Provides Support to Shelter

Laguna Beach’s Friendship Shelter has received a $50,000 gift from PIMCO founder Bill Gross and his wife, Sue, in honor of homeless shelter supporters Santina Davies and Paola Porrini-Bisson.
