The German rock group Denmantau and The Higgs will perform on Laguna’s Main Beach at 11 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 29, to honor of the countless lives lost to AIDS.
The city of Laguna Beach and the Community Clinic will be offering free anonymous HIV testing and flu shots.
Playhouse Opens a Different Type of Christmas Show
The Laguna Playhouse opens “A Snow White Christmas” on Wednesday, Dec. 2 starring Lindsay Pearce and Marina Sirtis with an on-screen appearance by Neil Patrick Harris as the Magic Mirror.
This “Panto at The Playhouse” production will be directed by Chris Baldock with choreography by Spencer Liff and musical supervision by Michael Orland of “American Idol.” The show features dancing, a live miniature pony and contemporary music in an interactive style with appeal for all ages.

Jazz Wednesdays Series Returns
The Jazz Wednesdays series by Laguna Beach Live! returns for seven concerts Jan. 20-April 13 at Seven-Degrees, 891 Laguna Canyon Rd..
The series kicks off on Jan. 20 with the Latin Jazz Syndicate featuring Bijon Watson on trumpet. Following on Feb. 3 is guitarist Peter Sprague Quartet; Local Legends concert, featuring Ron Kobayashi Trio with vocalist Daryl Walker, on Feb. 17; Braziliian guitarist and vocalist Teka on March 2; vocalist Sarah Gazarek with pianist Josh Nelson on March 16 a tribute to Freddie Hubbard and Wayne Shorter featuring Ricky Woodard on saxophone and Bijon Watson on trumpet; special guests on March 30; and closing on April 13, Hammond B-3 sensation Akiko, Jeff Hamilton on drums and Graham Dechter on guitar.
