Cooler Temps Lure Nature Lovers to the Hillsides

From 9- 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 6, ages 10 and up can step back 25 million years to a time when the seas receded and the San Andreas Fault was just starting to form. A Laguna Canyon Foundation volunteer naturalist guides the way in a moderate three-mile hike in the Laguna Coast Wilderness Park’s James Dilley Preserve.

From 2-4:30 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 7, ages 12 and up can bring a camera, learn some photography tricks and search for interesting compositions on a two-mile hike in Little Sycamore Canyon.

From 9-11:30 on Tuesday, Dec. 9, ages 12 and up can get close to nature on a leisurely two-mile hike in the James Dilley Preserve.

From 8:30 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 11, raise your heart rate and your spirits on a strenuous, fast-paced, 5.5-mile hike led by Foundation volunteers.
