Laguna Beach High School welcomes three new members, Nichole Rosa, David Reska, and Angela Pilon to its counseling team this year.

“Our counselors have over 20 years of experience and each one brings an area of expertise which allow them to fully prepare all students for a positive and successful high school experience,” Principal Joanne Culverhouse said in a statement.

Students are divided by their last names into three counselor groups.

The A-F counselor is Rosa, who was recruited to play water polo at San Jose State University and later earned a counseling degree at California State University, Northridge. “I have worked with hundreds of students from many different backgrounds and I feel that this has shaped my counseling philosophy: all students can achieve their dreams,” Rosa said. “Thank you for welcoming me into your community and I look forward to meeting you.”

Reska has extensive experience in counseling/human services and will be the G-M counselor. He earned a degree in social work from Niagara University and counseling degree from Loyola College.”I am absolutely ecstatic to be a Breaker and look forward to meeting and working with students, parents,

and staff in all facets; from assisting in major college and career planning to helping resolve minor conflicts and schedule changes.”

Counseling the N-Z students is Pilon, who earned degrees from UC Riverside and the University of Redlands. “I am most looking forward to being part of the community and actively participating and experiencing all that Laguna Beach has to offer. Working together we can support the success of all students and I look forward to a wonderful school year.”
