Cove Gallery Focuses on the Diminutive for Art Walk

Cove Gallery will be hosting “Small Works” at the Art Walk from 6-9 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 6 at 1492 S. Coast Highway. The artists will display “small and affordable” works of limited dimensions and materials.

John Hall is the gallery’s featured artist in August. A Dana Point native for almost 40 years, Hall has focused on contemporary abstract art for the past 25 years. He earned a master’s from USC in industrial management and studied art at Chouinard Art Institute and Laguna College of Art and Design. His work currently appears in private collections throughout the United States, Western Europe and the Pacific.

LCAD Library Receives a Windfall

The Dennis and Leslie Power Library at Laguna College of Art and Design was the major beneficiary of the first Art-a-Fair live auction, held July 12.

Forty-two Art-A-Fair artists donated art in every medium for the auction, which was conducted by Mark Thomas and raised over $5,500.
