Top musical theatre students of Laguna Beach High School open their Musical Theatre Workshop showcase Thursday and Friday, May 19 and 20, at 7:30 p.m. in room 55, the Greene Room, the high school’s black box theatre.

“The program is a compilation of specific musical theatre study that advances our students’ abilities,” explained Mark Dressler, director of the LBHS Performing Arts department. “It gives our kids a chance to really focus on a single piece of musical theatre under the direction of theatre professionals Tracey Bonner and Roxanna Ward, directors of the showcase.”

The showcase features tunes from Broadway shows. Participants this year include Kate Stewart, Sarah Busic, Conor Ross, Karina Parker, Nicolas Leighton, Makenna Zur Schmiede, Kiki Henderson, Noah Pattillo, Jackson Tupy and Connor McCombs.
