The Laguna Chapter of National Charity League honored 12 young women for their philanthropic and league service last month at the 27th annual debutante ball.

The celebration recognizes the culmination of six years of commitment to serving the surrounding local communities, which began when the girls were in seventh grade.

Honorees included Morgan Byrne, Olivia Cimo, Kaylie Monahan, Sophie Pieri, Emily Roy and Madison Davis, all of Laguna Niguel; Olivia Clark and Lauren Smith of Laguna Beach; Morgan Higgins of San Clemente; Olivia Keane of Laguna Hills; Alana Mellgren of San Juan Capistrano, and Kristen Walker of Aliso Viejo.

This year’s class volunteered more than 3,600 hours at various non-profits.

“These young women have wholly embraced the spirit of NCL with their dedication and commitment to our philanthropies during their time in our chapter,” Lisa Traylor, chapter president, said in a statement.
