Laguna Beach Mayor Steve Dicterow announced his intention to seek re-election to the City Council in November and plans a campaign kick-off party on Sunday, Jan. 31.

In a statement, Dicterow says, “We are facing major threats to what we love about Laguna. Although change always occurs, we must manage change while preserving the charm and character of Laguna. We will endorse and support changes that meet this goal.”

Dicterow says he wants to involve younger residents, those under 50, in participating in city affairs. He says they need to know that their opinions are critical to shaping policies.

Dicterow invites the public to attend the kick off event at Seven-Degrees, from 3 – 6 p.m., 891 Laguna Canyon Road.

Dicterow is an attorney with the law firm of Levin and Dicterow, which specializes in intellectual property.
