Local author, leadership consultant, and motivational speaker Mary Scifres published her first book on transformational leadership and discusses the work at 4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 24, at University United Methodist Church, 18422 Culver Dr., in Irvine.
A veteran of other works on church leadership and creative worship, Scifres in this endeavor links transformation lessons from Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast” to the ancient lessons of scriptures and stories of Jesus’ life and teachings. The book is titled, “The Gospel According to Beauty and the Beast: A Story of Transformation.”
Scifres will be reading selections from the book, answering questions, and signing books. Books will be available for purchase or purchased on-line through Amazon and Kindle Publications. The Audible version will be available in early November.
