Like many in Laguna, I used to surf at San Onofre. I also taught my son to surf there. We now know that the amount of radiation at San Onofre is lethal.
Every caution should be taken. Public safety must come first!
Apparently, as Rita Conn and the activist point out, Edison is taking the cheap route. If we are ever going to get the nuclear waste out of San Onofre, we must insist that Edison purchases canisters that survived Fukushima and are transportable now. To do otherwise is criminal.
