Meet the artists and view the “Red” exhibit at Gallery Q, 380 Third St., during a free, public art reception Friday, Feb. 12, from 4:30-6 p.m.

The exhibit includes over 60 pieces of art ranging from sculptures to fiber art inspired by the color red and art by children involved in a city art program.

They are on display through Feb. 27. Selected pieces are for sale with proceeds benefiting arts programs at the Susi Q.

 

 

 

Art-A-Fair Calls Artists

Artists are invited to bring original artwork to Art-A-Fair’s jury day from 8-11 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 21, for consideration in participating in the summer exhibition. The jury of fine artists and master crafts persons will look for excellence in conception, execution and presentation.

All media may be submitted.

Artists, without regard to residency, may submit in more than one medium at the Laguna Beach Boys and Girls Club, 1085 Laguna Canyon Road. Three original works of art are required for each medium submitted. Artists will be notified of acceptance or non-acceptance that day when artwork is retrieved between 4 – 4:30 p.m.

A free information-packed half-day workshop Thursday, March 3, will offer artists tools to diversify their exposure online and to broader audiences.

The city sponsored workshop will be led by adviser McLean Emenegger. Topics will include websites and digital portfolios, social media, e-communications and e-commerce.
