A celebration of women artists and the opportunity to peruse and purchase their unique, handmade creations will take place at The Woman’s Club of Laguna Beach on Sunday, Nov. 6, from noon until 5 p.m.

Artists – including jewelers, knitters, painters, photographers, painters, ceramicists and home décor designers – will gather at the Women Artists Fall Boutique. Each fall and spring, the Woman’s Club, 286 St. Ann’s Dr., hosts this free event, which gives local women artists a venue to share and sell their handiwork.

Shoppers looking for a frugal way to spruce up their wardrobe can check out Suzette Rosenthal’s classically designed accessory scarves, which can be worn in multiple ways.

Instead of spending money on short-lived flower arrangements, Natalie Harlow offers timeless sculptures made of driftwood, crystals and beads along with necklaces that can be worn as belts.

An eagle-eyed and talented recycler, Michaela “MJ” Jeppson turns wine corks into coolers and glass beads that once hung on lamps, into earrings and wine glass charms.

Several jewelers will be showing off their latest designs, including Liz Malloy’s contemporary and traditional pieces comprised of metal that she fabricates into curves and folds, then incorporates gemstones and fresh water pearls.

Artisan jewelry made of hand-forged sterling accented with natural stone and Swarovski crystal, makes Carmen Kaczor’s pieces one of a kind. By molding fine silver into the shape of a sea shell, firing it and accenting it with an aquamarine, Karen Joyce captures a taste of the sea in her unique pendant.

Beads and pendants from Tibet and Africa are Karen Young’s raw material that she uses to create her exotic and necklaces and earrings.

From feminine to funky, simple to elegant, Beth Kukuk uses quartz and turquoise to create cascading chandelier necklaces along with asymmetrical whimsical adornments of oxidized silver and faceted pyrite.

To compliment the shopping experience, bargain hunters will have the opportunity to sip wine, nibble refreshments and listen to live piano music generously donated by Pam Wicks.

All artists will contribute items to a silent auction. The proceeds will go to the Women and Family Assistance Center, a division of the Woman’s Club, that aids women and their families by distributing holiday presents, school supplies and food, while directing those in need to community resources. Proceeds will also go to the Club’s scholarship fund given annually to a local student attending Laguna College of Art and Design.
