The Artists Fund at Festival of Arts is presenting its Art-To-Go Shoe Show silent auction on Saturday August 13, from 1 to 4 p.m. More than 50 exciting originals will be sold with proceeds to benefit artists in need.

Peak bidding activity and close-outs take place between 2 and 3 p.m. during the halftime break of the Runway Fashion Show, also on the center green. Bids open at 30 to 50 percent of retail value, with several starting at less than $100, providing a great opportunity to acquire works by noted Festival exhibitors.

Both Shoe Show and open-theme works will be available. Must-sees include an actual coin-embellished penny loafer by Dagmar Chaplan, a still-life of Converse All Stars by oil painter Fabrice Spies, and a pendant by jeweler Roberto Brun with spinning turbine-style spokes and glow-in-the-dark crystals.

Other offerings include jewelry by Linda Potichke, photography by Rick Graves, Tashia Peterman, James Nordstrom and Troy Poeschl, printmaking by Anne Moore, woodwork by Stephen Lazarus, ceramics by Greg Riley and Mark Hendrickson, and many more. Elizabeth McGhee will live-model her shoe donation as part of the Runway show. As a bonus, all Art-To-Go buyers will qualify to win a two-night stay at The Tides Inn.
