Figures in Error on Home Sales Story

Editor,

In regards to the front page article on home sales: “Good News & Bad Bad News,” Jan. 27.

The author refers to ” high levels of inventory,” “and the currently high level of inventory,” “at year end 411 properties were on the market ” etc…

As of today there are only 231 properties available in Laguna Beach, which would mean that since year end 2011, 180 homes have sold. The article has some glaring errors and should be corrected.

The facts are that Laguna is experiencing the lowest inventories in seven years. The article printed in your paper will create too much confusion for potential buyers, and will cause we realtors to spend time correcting factual errors by your paper (which, BTW, for the most part I really enjoy).
