By acquiring the storefront formerly occupied by Carl Smith’s gallery next door, Forest & Ocean will nearly triple their exhibition space and increase the number of artists it displays, said gallery owner Ludo Liederitz.
To kick off their New Artist Spotlight Series, the public is invited to a reception on Saturday, Dec. 21, in the new space at 480 Ocean Ave., from 6 – 9 p.m.
Three new artists will unveil their work including Laguna local Elizabeth Attenborough, who has traveled the world photographing rock and jazz musicians. Her work has appeared on the covers of platinum CDs and in fashion magazines.
Also featured, Cheyne Walls’ photographs that capture the majestic images of Mother Nature and the work of glassblower and sculptor Bill Kasper, known for his decorative bowls, vases and one-of-a-kind pieces of jewelry.
