On World Water Day, join Laguna Beach composer Pamela Madsen for a free concert in Crystal Cove State Park at 4 p.m. Sunday, March 22.
Guests will enjoy performances by local Girl Scouts, Cal State Fullerton music students and other special guests in the amphitheater of Moro Canyon as well as hearing selections from Madsen’s newest compositions, “As I Ebb’d,” “Sea Longing,” and “There Will Come Soft Rains.”
Event is free to all guests; day use fee of $15 per vehicle required.
A Pitch Perfect Night
The Bostonians, Boston College’s co-ed a cappella group, will be performing No Square Theatre on Saturday, March 21 at 7:30 p.m.
One of the Bostonians’ own, Chloe Mansour, is an alum of both Laguna Beach High School and No Square Theatre. A sophomore at Boston College, Mansour will be singing “Shake It Off” by Taylor Swift.
The group will be performing their entire repertoire at No Square Theatre, 384 Legion St., two blocks south of the high school, where there is ample free parking. Visit www.nosquare.org for $10 tickets or just show up at the door.
Music Meets Art at Laguna Art Museum
A conversation between Pacific Symphony Music Director Carl St.Clair and Laguna Art Museum Executive Director Malcolm Warner will start with a pre-concert reception at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 26, at the Laguna Art Museum, 307 Cliff Dr.
Guests will also include symphony musicians led by violist Cheryl Gates.
Admission is $7 and free for members.
Playhouse Hosts Second City Comedy Tour
Chicago comedy ensemble Second City will perform at the Laguna Playhouse from Tuesday, March 31 to Saturday, April 4.
Second City alumni include Tina Fey, Bill Murray and Stephen Colbert.
