Flores Tours Claremont’s Native Garden

Join California horticultural expert Ruben Flores on a tour of Claremont’s Rancho Santa Ana Botanical Gardens, departing at 8 a.m. Saturday, March 28, from Laguna Nursery, 1370 S. Coast Highway.

Seating is limited for the garden walk and bus ride. Bring a lunch potluck item to share.

 

Gardening Guru To Lead Free Workshop

Lauren Fieberg, a UC Santa Cruz graduate who worked to plant edible landscaping around campus, will lead a free workshop in organic gardening and fruit tree pruning at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 28, at the South Laguna Community Garden.

The garden is at Eagle Rock Way and Coast Highway.

Fieberg teaches at Sage Hill School in Newport Beach.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Flores Teaches Floral Arranging

Laguna Outreach for Community Arts offers a floral design workshop with Ruben Flores Thursday April 2, 9:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m. at Laguna Nursery.

Participants will learn to arrange leaves, stems and flowers. Flores, an expert horticulturalist and landscape designer, will teach simple building and layering techniques. Everyone will take home a beautiful finished arrangement. Cost is $30 or $125 for five.

All classes in the 50 Shades of Green program include materials and free parking. Beginners and all levels are invited. Advance registration is required at www.LOCAarts.org or 949 363-4700.
