Local Experts Offer Help Navigating Covered California

The statewide health insurance exchange Covered California began open enrollment last week and the Laguna Beach Community Clinic has three certified enrollment counselors on hand to assist those interested in enrolling.

“Covered California is a great solution for those without work place insurance,” said Dr. Tom Bent, medical director of the clinic, 362 Third St.

The clinic accepts Covered California insurance. High deductibles don’t pose a problem because the clinic continues to offer a sliding-scale discount to qualifying patients.
