The Orange County Board of Supervisors and the Orange County Healthcare Agency recognized the Laguna Beach Community Clinic as a nationally recognized leader in the delivery of individualized, comprehensive medical care and treatment for those living with HIV/AIDS. The clinic not only meets the needs for medical care in a region where there is no other low-cost option, it exceeds national standards for quality of HIV/AIDS delivery. Each year the clinic provides 900 or more HIV/AIDS patient related visits.

Independent researchers have concluded that 93 percent of the clinic’s HIV/AIDS patients have CD4 counts, which indicate functioning immune systems, and 88 percent have undetectable amounts of the HIV virus.

“The Laguna Beach Community Clinic achieves treatment outcomes superior to most programs in the United States; it is a distinct honor that we have now received recognition for this,” stated Dr. Korey Jorgensen, the physician in charge of the HIV/AIDS treatment program.
