Laguna Beach Film Society kicks off its second Ocean Awareness film documentary with Emmy award-winning director, Jason Krumb and his new film, “TransparentSeas,” on Friday, Feb. 22 at 7 p.m. at the Forum Theatre in the Festival of Arts grounds.

The film highlights the journey of a group of surfer activists and musicians as they create rockin’ songs to raise awareness of ocean issues.

Laguna Heroes Showcased

The Susi Q center celebrates eco heroism with an environmental film showcase on Thursday, Feb. 28 from 2 to 4 p.m. organized by Laguna Beach-based My Hero Project.

The showcase will screen several environmentally conscious short films, starting with “Transition Laguna Beach”, at the Susi Q Center, 380 Third St.

Laguna Beach’s Sawdust Art Festival’s Spring Intro Art classes start in April at 935 Laguna Canyon Rd. Classes offered vary from glassblowing to jewelry making.
