Palm Springs artist Charley Akers pays tribute to Laguna Beach’s Festival of Arts artists with an exhibit that opens May 15 at The Ritz-Carlton in Dana Point.

Food Trucks Roll Into Town
The Laguna Beach Food Truck Festival pulls up Saturday, May 12, 11:30-3 p.m., in the parking lot of Laguna Culinary Arts, 845 Laguna Canyon Rd.
The truck chefs will cook up a special one-time-only tasting menu for the event benefitting Children’s Hospital of Orange County.
The event, open to the public and $35 per person for five tastings, is hosted by the Gorjana and Griffin Foundation of Laguna Beach.

The Laguna Beach Film Society will air the five 2012 live action film Oscar contenders at the South Coast Cinema, 162 S. Coast Highway, on Thursday, May 17 at 7 p.m.

Cultural Understanding through Music
Laguna Beach Live! presents a Turkish-French quartet in constant motion between jazz and traditional folk music on Saturday, June 9. The Inside World Music series features Senem Diyici’s Mavi Yol 4tet at the Woman’s Club of Laguna Beach, 286 St. Ann’s Dr. for a 6 p.m. concert and wine tasting.
