Breakers dropped their opening match at Santa Margarita with a somewhat listless defensive performance, losing 25-18, 25-16, 25-12. Breakers had some good blocks, but lacked consistency on hitting and passing.
The squad faced Corona del Mar this past Wednesday, Sept. 9, at Dugger Gym and are in the annual Dave Mohs Orange County Tournament this weekend. Laguna is off to the 64-team Durango Tournament in Las Vegas next week that features top teams from eight states.
Alumni report: Allison Palmer ’12 is the libero for highly ranked Illinois this season.
