Laguna finished 41st out of 64 teams at the 21st Annual Durango Fall Classic featuring top teams from all over the US. Breakers opened play on Friday, September 18 defeating Green Valley (Henderson NV) 25-21, 25-14 in the Gator’s gym. In the second match, Laguna played Sacred Heart (Louisville KY) close but could not close out against the Valkyries losing 25-18, 25-15. In the final pool match, Laguna lost to Liberty/Bakersfield 25-14, 25-15.

On Saturday in the playoffs in Summerlin, Laguna lost to Chino Hills 25-21, 25-21, beat McQueen (Reno NV) 25-18, 25-22, beat Clovis West 17-25, 25-21, 25-13, and lost in the final match of the day to Harvard-Westlake 25-22, 25-20.

Laguna hosted Dana Hills on September 24 and travel next week to Newport Harbor on September 29 for their annual battle with the Sailors. League play opens October 1 at home against Costa Mesa
