The tragedy in Montecito canceled the annual Santa Barbara trip last week and a decision on makeup games has not been made. The Breakers were able to open league play as they tied the school record for margin of victory with a 25-0 shutout of Estancia on Wednesday, Jan. 10. Laguna made an effort to equalize the contest playing much of the second half with five field players on defense and not attempting to score in the final half of the fourth quarter. Thirteen different Laguna players scored in the contest.
This week the Breakers hosted fourth-ranked Corona del Mar this past Wednesday, Jan. 17, at Laguna and they travel to third-ranked Mater Dei this Saturday, Jan. 20, at the Monarch campus pool.Firebrand Media LLC wants comments that advance the discussion, and we need your help to accomplish this mission.
