Breakers opened the 2018 season with a pair of easy wins at the local pool with the full team getting plenty of playing time.
On Tuesday, Nov. 28, the Breakers crushed El Toro 20-4 with Nicole Struss and Sophia Lucas each scoring four goals while Alex Peros and Morgan Van Alphen each turning a three goal “hat-trick.”
Alana Evans recorded five assists while Thea Walsh and Quinn Winter shared the goal keeping duties. The following day, Laguna stopped La Canada 16-5 with Cici Stewat leading the team with three goals. Evan Tingler topped all players with four assists.
The team faced So Cal’s third-ranked Dos Pueblos this past Wednesday, Dec. 6, at the Santa Margarita High School pool in an early test with a key playoff rival. The Chargers were the team that upset the Breakers in January 2016 ending their 63-match win streak. The current run is at 33 straight.
