The Laguna Beach Water Polo Girls U14 team recently won the U.S. Club Championship in Corona, says an announcement from parent Katie Houlahan. This is following the club’s first win of Cal Cup for the U14 girls bracket.
Laguna led early in the game and did not allow a single goal during the first half. Ultimately, they defeated So Cal 8-2 to win the title.
Nicole Struss was the leading scorer with three points, while Rachel Carver and Molly Renner each scored two goals and Jessie Rose contributed the final point.
This week the team enters Junior Olympics in Orange County.
