Baseball (7-9, 5-0)     

Blake Burzell struck out five for his third win of the season as Laguna cruised past Godinez 7-3 on Tuesday, April 12, at Skipper Carrillo Field. Laguna leads the all-time series with Godinez 21-1 and have won a Southern Section CIF public school record 53 straight league games.

The Grizzlies (4-13, 1-5) scratched a run in the first inning on one hit and a throwing error, but gave it all back in the bottom of the first as Laguna had three straight hits to open their initial at-bat with Jeff Bruyntjens picking up two runs-batted-in on his single. Breakers were up 7-1 before the late-game substitutions.
