Gardening with Beneficial Insects
Lucian Toma will describe how to garden with beneficial insects at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 7, in the South Laguna Community Garden, at Coast Highway and Eagle Rock Way.
He will describe how to incorporate ecological design features, create habitats for beneficial insects, and use companion planting to ward off pests.
Toma leads public programs at The Ecology Center in San Juan Capistrano.
On May 21, Bob Cosgrove of Aliso Canyon Honey will answer apian questions.

Garden Club Recruits Bromeliad Expert
Chris Lutz will share secrets growing bromeliads under drought conditions at Laguna Beach Garden Club’s Friday, May 13, meeting at Laguna Presbyterian Church.
The meeting in Tankersley Hall, 415 Forest Ave., begins at 9:30 a.m. while Lutz’s talk begins at 10 a.m. All guests are welcome to this free event.
