Gymnast Tests Her Form in Jr. Olympics

Local gymnast Tessa Blanchardwill head to the Women’s Junior Olympic National Championship in Cincinnati this month to compete alongside 400 other qualifying gymnasts from California, Nevada, Arizona and Utah.

Tessa qualified with a first place on vault and third place in the all-around competition at the Level 10, Region 1 gymnastics competition held in Reno, Nev., on April 13-15.

Tessa, a junior at Laguna Beach High School, works out at Wildfire Gymnastics in Lake Forest, coached by Rick Watson, Whitney Dames, Tom Wakeling, Stephanie Calvert and Hayley Watson.
