The South Orange county chapter of the Surfrider Foundation has recognized Harvest Restaurant at The Ranch as Laguna’s first platinum registered ocean friendly restaurant. The program identifies restaurants and hotels that institute self-regulated ocean friendly practices. A Platinum OFR reduces disposable plastic waste, does not use EPS (polystyrene), properly recycles, does not use plastic bags, has only reusable tableware in house, gives plastic straws only on request, offers best choice seafood options as defined by Seafood Watch, offers regular vegan options and conserves water and energy.
