Keyboardist and composer Lao Tizer and his contemporary jazz band Tizer will be performing at the Hotel Laguna Rose Garden Aug. 3 as a part of Jazz Wednesdays hosted by Laguna Beach Live.
The concert is from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. The kitchen opens at 5 p.m. for food and drink before the show.
The multicultural band led by Boulder native Lao Tizer performs an eclectic mix of jazz, rock, classical and Afro Cuban music.

Concert Band Wins FOA Grant
Mayor Steve Dicterow will be the guest conductor of the 60-member band for their last summer performance at the Festival of Arts grounds in Laguna Beach on Wednesday, Aug. 17 at 5:30 p.m.
The Laguna Concert Band received a grant for $2,500 from FOA Foundation for 2016.
To date, the Festival of Arts along with the Foundation cumulatively has awarded nearly $2.6 million in grants to the art community in Laguna Beach and over $3 million in scholarships in recent years.

Voices Resound at Playhouse
National singing sensation “Rockapella,” known for groundbreaking original music and inventive takes on familiar favorites, will open Wednesday, Aug. 10, at Laguna Playhouse and run through Sunday, Aug. 28.
The group provides audiences a unique experience in using no instruments and backing tracks and instead relying solely on their vocal talents.
Performances at 606 Laguna Canyon Road. will be Wednesdays through Fridays at 7:30 p.m., Saturdays at 2 p.m., and 7:30 p.m., and Sundays at 1 p.m. Tickets range from $50 – $60 and can be by calling (949) 497-2787.
