Laguna Beach Live! presents the Jet Set Quintet performing from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 4 at Seven-Degrees, 891 Laguna Canyon Rd.

Mozambique Presents the English Beat, John Oats

The English Beat will perform at Mozambique, 1740 S. Coast Highway, at 10 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 30.

And the following week, the Laguna Beach restaurant brings John Oates, the R&B guitarist, musician, songwriter and producer best known as half of the rock and soul duo Hall & Oates, to its stage. He performs at 9 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 2.

Doors open at 6 p.m. for both standing room only shows. Tickets for ages 18 and over range from $30 to $45 and can be purchased at: mozambiqueoc.com.

 

 

 

 

 

Music Festival Touts Tasty Opening

The Los Angeles Guitar Quartet offers a midweek preview of the weekend concerts. Enjoy a sample of the Laguna Beach Music Festival featuring the Los Angeles Guitar Quartet and their guests performing short selections from the upcoming concerts on Thursday, Feb. 12, at the Laguna Art Museum.

Mix and mingle with the musicians at a reception preceding the concert at 5:30 p.m. while enjoying hors d’oeuvres and wine before the performance.

Tickets of $80 per person for the reception benefit education outreach programs to the schools, Boys & Girls Club and the Susi Q Center.

Fans of dance can get their fashion fix while supporting the performing arts at the boutique Aris on the Coast, 1155 N. Coast Highway, during First Thursdays Art Walk on Feb. 5.

From 6 to 9 p.m., ARIS owner Trey Russell will donate 20 percent of sales to the Laguna Dance Festival.
