Seeds Sponsors Summer Events

Seeds Arts and Education, a Laguna Beach based organization, is helping organize three events suitable for outings for young children, all from Anneliese School’s Willowbrook campus in Laguna Canyon.

On Friday, July 22, the group is hosting a field trip departing from the school at 9:30 a.m., joining Earthroots Field School for an educational experience directed by founder Jodi Levine in O’Neil Regional Park.

Participants will make gourd rattles, as well as learn how to make ropes out of yucca fibers. A water activity of some kind will be incorporated in the outing. Bring lunch, a reusable water bottle, hat and sunscreen. $35 per person, entering grade 1.

On Wednesday, July 27, the group hosts a $25 Mommy & Me: Garden Tea at 10 a.m., for parent and child, ages 3-8. The class at the school includes decorating a tablecloth with fresh pressed flowers, picking mint for the tea and basil for bite-sized cheese sandwiches. The day will include a tasting tour of the garden, a portrait session with mom and a flower photo frame project.

On Friday, July 29, at 11 a.m., youngsters can see “The Velveteen Rabbit” musical production with a $10 donation. The school-based production features children singing, dancing, and acting.
