Music, food, and festivities will all be part of this year’s Laguna Beach High School PTA Holiday Boutique on Saturday, Nov. 19, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., held on-campus in the Main Quad.
The annual community event offers an opportunity for shoppers to get an early start on their holiday purchases while enjoying coffee, baked goods, lunch, performances by high school student musicians, and songs by the Top of the World and El Morro Elementary combined choir. A variety of gift creations from area artists, craft vendors, and local merchants will be on hand, including many unique pieces and hand-made merchandise designed to make the event a special-occasion shopping experience for the entire family.
PTA sponsors the event each year to raise funds that benefit LBHS students. “We all shop for the holidays, no matter which ones we celebrate, so let’s shop knowing that our purchases directly help the children,” urged PTA Holiday Boutique chair Dena Gunsolley.
The Laguna Beach community often embraces a worthy cause, and this one is no exception. Many local merchants jumped at the opportunity to help this year, including South Laguna Starbucks and Staples in Aliso Viejo, while an impressive array of boutique vendors will offer reasonably-priced toys, jewelry, accessories, classic candies, custom cookies, stationery, home goods, clothing, works of art, and more. There will even be purses available that were hand-made by tsunami survivors, and an appearance by Irish dancers.
“The kids will love this event, but the adults will really be the ones surprised by their excitement,” said Gunsolley, “They can support the students of Laguna Beach while buying something for everyone of every age on their holiday list.”
The LBHS Holiday Boutique is open to the public and admission is free.
